Enjoy a tour of Auckland University owned Goldie Estate Winery including wine tasting and lunch.
Goldie Estate is a boutique vineyard and winery nestled amongst 30 acres of native bush and rolling vineyards on Waiheke Island overlooking Putiki Bay. It’s here they create handcrafted wines full of character that draw on the knowledge and experience of Kim and Jeanette Goldwater, who founded winegrowing on Waiheke in 1978.
Goldie Estate vineyard produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Chardonnay and Viognier varieties.
The Estate is also home to the University of Auckland’s Wine Science Centre, which aims to continue the innovative spirit of the Goldwater family. The programme provides a unique learning experience for the students to be immersed in a fully operational winery.
The vineyards are situated on the edge of Putiki Bay on Waiheke Island. Waiheke Island is only a 35-minute fast ferry ride from Auckland.
Includes pick up/drop off from the Cordis Hotel, return ferry transfers to Waiheke Island, transfers to Goldie Estate, tour of Goldie Estate, wine tasting and buffet lunch.

June is winter in New Zealand, and the weather can be cold and wet. This tour will go ahead if it is raining. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket.
